Portugal's central region has plenty to offer and here you will most certainly find the portuguese property you are looking for. If you are fond of beaches, the Silver Coast affords large expanses of beautiful golden beaches as well as the most famous waves in Europe, in Peniche or Nazaré. The highest point in Mainland Portugal can also be found in the central region, in Serra da Estrela's slopes. If you are planning on buying a property in a charming historic city in Portugal, then you can start searching in Aveiro, known as the 'Portuguese Venice', thanks to its lagoon and numerous canals. You must not also forget about Óbidos medieval village, its famous castle and even the city of Coimbra, representing the country's oldest university and some extraordinary examples of the baroque architecture.
